All Saints’ Church holds a very special place in the hearts of the community of Brightlingsea and surrounding area. It’s more than just a place of worship, it’s a building of enormous historic and marine significance, and the location of many of the area’s favourite events such as Brightlingsea Christmas Tree Festival, various concerts, the start of the annual Brightlingsea Jog Walk Run, the home of Brightlingsea Cinque Port Gild of Freemen (several hundred strong).
Whilst the day to day running costs of All Saints’ are borne by the Parochial Church Council, the Friends undertake raising funds for repairs and maintenance of the fabric of the church.
Because maintaining a Grade 1 Listed 12th century building requires significant funding and the Friends receive no Government or regular church funding, your help would be gratefully received.
